This puzzle was advertised as large print - and it is not. Each puzzle is not even 3 x 3 " - that said there are a lot of puzzles, but for the more advanced sudoku player - you need to skip the 1st 1/2 of the book to get a puzzle that is challenging.
Overall, enjoyable with the first half good for warmups, the second half for entertaining challenges. BUT - made it through almost 900 puzzles when I hit a snag and needed to check an answer. To my surprise, the answer section has very little to do with the puzzles. I checked several, looking through all the answers and none of them match. Not sure when they parted ways, but this is aggravating.
While the puzzles are all there, the printing is horrendous. There are sections that completely upside down while other sections are right side up. To add to that, there are sections out of order. Makes it difficult to enjoy the book if you're having to flip it around or hunt for a puzzle.
The puzzle grids are too small! You don't have enough space in each square, that makes it very hard to solve the harder puzzles. I never would have bought it if I knew that.
Ideal print size for old eyes. Good for beginners all the way to expert.
Puzzles are ok, but if you have trouble and want to see where you went wrong, the answers in the back of book don't all match the puzzles. For example, since sudoku starts with numbers in some squares, you might go to puzzle #866 in the back of book, but the numbers that are printed in the puzzle do not correspond with the numbers in the answer.
There are many puzzles in this book...and many hours of relaxation (and frustration at times), but always enjoyable. Thanks. After playing the puzzles...I liked the Professional and Veteran best, I found that the "answers' for the Veteran section is out of whack. I am convinced that an error occurred in the printing and so find the book useless for me. Much disappointment.
I liked that I was able to get a lot of puzzles for a reasonable price. However I found out that when you get into a bind on the puzzle solving and take a quick peak at the answers to double check your work, most of the Vetran answers do not match the puzzle. The same happed on a few other levels, but not a lot of them.
