I have at least 5 other Jade Summer books and like all of them. However, I have an issue with the paper in this book. I had to use a blender pencil to smooth out the colors which I have not had to do in the other books. (I haven't yet used solvents like Gamsol for blending.) Before using the blender pencil, the dark colors in particular didn't look very good because the paper was showing through the color. While this can be an issue in books with cheaper thin paper, I haven't had this issue with the other Jade summer books that I have. I use 3 different brands of pencils and it happened with all of them. I got quite frustrated with this issue so coloring wasn't relaxing. Thus I decided to donate this book to Good Will. I hope someone will be able to enjoy it.
I was so thrilled to get this book! It has so many cute images! The designs are adorable with plenty of details, and I really love the style of the little witches (and their friends). Each page was fantastic! I ended up buying a second book for my daughter because we both love this book so much. It is a great value as well because there are duplicates of each page, and it comes with a free digital edition that can be downloaded and printed. I hope to update this review with photos once I have a chance to capture our finished pages and works in progress. Overall, this is a fantastic book and I highly recommend it!
I did receive a free PDF for this review, but after looking at the first few pages, I decided to buy it instead.The pictures remind me of anime girls and I love anime.None of these pictures remind of real witches or witchcraft. These are fun things I can color that don't make me feel creepy or going against my Christian views.All of the artists who work under the cover name of Jade Summer are good at what they do and this book is no exception. They are so cute you can color them year-round.Again, this is a double book, single-sided on good paper, but half way through, they start over. Good for sharing with a friend or going in on the book with another person. Also, you can pick a page and color with another person and see who does what in the end.
This is my favorite adult coloring book by far. I got sick of the mandalas. They were not holding my interest, because I didn't care to fill in every tiny diamond to get a complete picture. I also didn't like the coloring books with realistic images that I guess are supposed to be more mature. I much prefer coloring a cute anime witch. You can color the image as simply or as intricately as you want, depending on your mood. I plan on purchasing more coloring books from this company. Thank you for making coloring fun again!
I love Jade Summer's coloring books! This one is amazing! I love pretty much all of the pictures and can't wait to color them.I like the paper that the books use- It works surprisingly well for for alcohol markers and colored pencils, which are my preferred mediums. The PDF that comes with the books also let you print on your own paper, or do digital art.
I personally don't like to color very gory and scary Halloween themed coloring book. This book is super cute with anime looking faces, playful and fun pages to color. Like other Jade Summers book, it has single sided pages so for colorists who use markers (like me), we don't worry about damaging the page behind it. Ofcourse we need to put cardstock to prevent it from bleed through to the next page.
I love the witches in this coloring book. They are perfect for anyone who loves to color. Cute and not scary, they are great for all ages. I love Jade Summer coloring books and I am very glad I bought this one to add to my collection and enjoy coloring in. The pictures are not too detailed and I love it for when I want to color, but not take forever to finish.
I love these coloring books, have a few of them. Wish the paper was thicker to use other coloring options but with the downloads I can print on whatever paper I want giving me soo many options. I print the pages I want to try new things on like my water colouring pencils.
